Welcome to the Nishna
Valley Family YMCA. Our facility opened in February 2004.
We moved from a building that had served our community for many years
but that we had simply outgrown. This new YMCA offers two
gymnasiums, two racquetball courts, a large fitness room including
Strive weight machines, free weights, ellipticals, treadmills, and a
number of other cardio machines, an elevated track, an indoor pool, a
hot tub, and an activity room with adjoining kitchen. This
collaborative effort between the YMCA, City of Atlantic, Atlantic
Community Schools, the Atlantic Area Recreation Foundation, and so many
individuals and organizations has exceeded everyone's expectations.
A special thank you to the late Gordon and Jeanette Nicholas for their
lead gift and to all those who made a gift of time, talent or treasure.
Your support has shown again what teamwork can do for a community.
