Q: Do you offer reduced rates?
A: Membership financial assistance is available through our Financial Assistance Program. Our application is located on the Join Up page.

Q: Do you have corporate rates?
A: As a non-profit agency, the Nishna Valley Family YMCA does not offer discounts to corporate entities. We do offer program services for corporations. For information regarding these services contact Michelle Heath at 712-243-3934 or by email at mheath@nishnavalleyymca.com.

Q: Can I pay cash instead of automatic debit?
A: We accept cash payment for annual membership fee. To pay your membership dues monthly, we automatically debit from a bank account, or credit card account.

Q: How do I become a member?
A: You will need to complete a membership application which can be downloaded on the Join Up page and pay for your first month and joiners fee. To establish a monthly draft, you will also need to provide a voided check. You can download the monthly draft on the Join Up page.

Q: Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
A: No. Our membership is flexible and on a monthly basis. If you choose to pay annually that membership payment in non-refundable.

Q: Can I visit other YMCAs?
A: Yes. Many YMCAs across the country participate in the AWAY (Always Welcome at YMCAs) program, which allows members from other YMCAs to visit. You should call a location prior to visiting for specific policies. AWAY Program Information  (on www.ymca.net).

Q: Can I bring guests?

A: Yes. We encourage our members to introduce their friends, family, and colleagues to the YMCA. They would simply pay a day fee. (That fee chart can be found on the Membership tab.)

Q: What are your hours?
A: Hours for the building and pool are located on the Home page.

Q: Do you have lockers?
A: We do have lockers for a yearly rental fee. We also have day lockers throughout the building for your use; you simply remove everything each day. Locks are also available at the front desk for your use.

Q: Will someone assist me with my workout?
A: We have Wellness Coaches that can assist you on getting your workout started. We also have a personal trainer on staff. Ask YMCA staff for assistance on this.

Q: Do you provide towels?
A: We do not provide towels for you. However we do have them available at the front desk if you should happen to forget one.

Q: Can I bring my child in while I work out?
A: We offer childwatch at certain hours for parents with children 6 months to 2nd grade. Childwatch hours are found on the Childwatch page.
