The Ann W. Wickman Child Development Center, operated by the Nishna Valley Family YMCA, provides high quality, affordable early child development education and care. Our nurturing atmosphere stimulates learning, celebrates individuality, promotes self-esteem and encourages social interactions based upon respect and kindness. Children engage in a framework called Creative Curriculum, an approach that focuses on how children develop and learn, based on their individual interests, the learning environment and the role of the teacher.
The YMCA is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Nearly 10 million children ages 17 and under engage in a wealth of enriching YMCA activities. Together, YMCAs are the nation’s largest provider of child care, with nearly 10,000 child care sites across the country that provide high-quality, affordable care to more than 500,000 children.
